The 2 hour Investor

I have two sections in portfolio

  • Build - This portion is long term to medium term oriented comprised mostly of Broad index ETFs, Mutual funds and very selective individual companies which I feel are undervalued. Approx. 80% of available capital is earmarked for this section of portfolio

  • Learn - Use limited time and use technology to uncover profitable opportunities in the financial markets by following a structured and strategic approach, analyzing charts, indicators, and market data to make well-informed decisions. Despite limited time commitment, approach leverages advanced tools and techniques, such as technical analysis, to scan for breakouts, trend reversals, and optimal entry and exit points. Approx. 10-20% of available capital is earmarked for this section of portfolio

The learn portfolio keeps my active itch scratched while not blowing up my capital.

I started on this approach in 2023 and now after completing training and finishing courses on few key areas starting documenting the learn portfolio journey with some family members 5 weeks back.

Here is how it looks excerpts

Weekly CNX 500 chart with 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 EMAs and MACD, 2022 to Sep 2024: 10 EMA stays above 20 EMA, so the trades stay on
Learn portfolio table of five positions at 12% weight each with weeks held and returns of -1% to 12%, stock names hidden by doodles
Final thoughts note: index returns added to the learn folio sheet, and the portfolio is capped at 8 positions with 12% equal allocation

I would not be able to share this to wider group, however I will give periodic updates on how did this effort go!

I am documenting the full process in my upcoming training module so you will chance to learn and do it yourself

Happy investing
