About
An investing notebook, kept since 2011.
Tankrich started in 2011 as a place to think out loud about investing. It has grown into 333 essays and studies of 66 companies, written by Vivek Bothra.
The writing covers how to find and value good businesses, how to hold them through the hard parts, and, more recently, rules-based systems for momentum, drawdown control and asset allocation. Every idea shows its working, including the ones that did not work.
The research covers listed companies in India, the US and Australia, valuation and investing frameworks, momentum and drawdown systems, and personal finance, especially mutual funds and ETFs. Every company studied has its own page on the companies list with all the research on it in date order, and the methodology page explains the lenses used.
New research goes to newsletter subscribers first and comes to this site after six months. Courses and TradingView indicators are in the library.
Videos are on YouTube, and shorter thoughts go on X.
Nothing on this site is investment advice. It is a record of one investor’s thinking, shared for education. Vivek may hold the securities he writes about; see the disclosures.
